The '''Federal Cascadian Navy''' ('''FCN''') is the maritime service branch of the [[Federal Cascadian Armed Forces]].

The Federal Cascadian Navy traces its origins to the [[Cascadian Revolution]] when a navy was established by the revolutionary forces to combat [[Great Mercia|Mercian]] naval vessels and disrupt the transport of materiel to Mercian forces. It played a major role in the [[Laurentian Wars]], being greatly expanded by President Cooper to gain supremacy on the seas in order to assist his subjugation of Cascadia's neighbors and his invasion of [[Khozhlod]]. The Cascadian Navy emerged from the 20th Century as one of the most powerful navies int he world. The modern Cascadian Navy maintains a sizable global presence, and it emphasizes its blue-water capabilities to project force throughout the world.

The Federal Cascadian Navy is part of the [[Cascadian Department of the Navy|Department of the Navy]], which is headed by the civilian [[Cascadian Secretary of the Navy|Secretary of the Navy]]. The Department of the Navy is itself a military department of the [[Cascadian Department of War|Department of War]], which is headed by the [[Cascadian Secretary of War|Secretary of War]]. The chief of naval operations (CNO) is the most senior Navy officer serving in the Department of the Navy.
