The Federalist Party, colloquially known as the Federalists, is a major conservative political party in Cascadia. Since 1934, the Federalists has been in power almost continuously — only being out of power for relatively brief periods. In Cascadian politics today, the Federalist Party is a centre-right to right-wing party and is the dominant party in Cascadian politics. As of 2023, the Federalist Party is the largest party in both the Senate and the House of Delegates. The current chairman is Eric Miller.
The party originated as the Cascadia Club, founded by future president William A. Smith on 13 June 1924. From there, the party underwent major reorganization chances until the 1934 Cascadian general elections which saw the election of Smith to the position of President of Cascadia and the empowerment of his party.
