The Federal Government of Cascadia is the national government of Cascadia, a federal republic located in Altaris, composed of 12 states and 3 territories. The Cascadian federal government, sometimes simply referred to as Juneau, is composed of three distinct branches: legislative, executive, and judicial, whose powers as vested by the Cascadian Constitution.

The federal legislature is bicameral: the House of Delegates (lower house) and Senate (upper house). The House of Delegates has 650 members, each representing an individual electoral district of about 200,000 people. The Senate has 126 members: ten from each of the 12 states and two each from Cascadia's territories. The Cascadian Government in its executive capacity is formed by the President, his cabinet, and various federal agencies which the president delegates power to.

The government is based in the nation's capital, Juneau, in the Cascadian Capital Territory. The head offices of all of the federal agencies lie in Juneau, along with Cascadian Capitol Building, Presidential Mansion, and the Supreme Court. The judicial branch of government, headed by the Supreme Court of Cascadia, is independent of the legislative and executive branch, and ensures that government acts according to the constitution and law.

President

The executive branch is established in the Cascadian Constitution, which vests executive power in the president of Cascadia. The president is both the head of state and head of government.

The president is the commander-in-chief of the armed forces. The president is also empowered to recieve ambassadors and has broad authority to conduct foreign relations. Although some diplomatic authority remains with the Cascadian Congress. The president may also negotiate and sign treaties, but ratifying requires the assent of the Senate.

The president is also granted the power to grant clemency, commute sentences, issue amnesties, and issue absolute or conditional pardons for federal crimes.
